Independent Managed Group meets auditor's approval

The Louisiana Forestry Association has a registered Independent Managed Group of large landowners (over 10,000 acres)  certified by PricewaterhouseCoopers to the tree farm standards. The current memebers of the group are A.T. Hunt Jr., Hunt Forest Products, Crowell et al Timberlands, Crowell Lumber Industries, and T.L. James, & Company, Inc. properties in Louisiana.

The assessment of the properties was conducted in accordance with ISO standards and showed that the "management system was suitably designed  to provide reasonable assurance that the requirements" of sustainability were met.

Those companies wanting to buy wood from these members of the group can print this certification form for their files.
