As a Louisiana forest landowner, you are one of the 148,000 private landowners who own 81% of our state's commercial forestland. Your forest provides wood products, jobs, wildlife habitat, clean air, water and recreation for yourself and others.
The Louisiana Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) is an effort to encourage all forest landowners, loggers, foresters and manufacturers to use practices that are economically and environmentally responsible and that protect the health and productivity of our forestlands.
For questions about Scenic Rivers in the state, there is a listing on the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. This list can change over time. For more information, click here.
