Forestry 101 for landowners set

Landowners wanting to know more about how to make their forest land "healthier, more profitable and sustainable" are invited to a Forestry 101 workshop for landowners this month.

The free workshop is set for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, July 19 at the Lincoln Parish Public Safety Complex, 161 Road Camp Road, Ruston.

The LSU AgCenter, USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service and Trailblazer RC&D will put on the event sponsored by Allstate Land and Timber, Burnham Construction, Canfor Southern Pine, ENABLE Midstream Partners, Lincoln Parish Police Jury, Louisiana Forestry Association, LSU AgCenter, Mudd & Holland Consulting Foresters LLC, NRCS, Origin Bank and Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI).
