Early voting Nov. 2-9; ForPAC endorsements

Early voting begins Saturday, Nov. 2 for Louisiana voters to decide runoff for two statewide, several legislative and local races.

Incumbent Gov. John Bel Edwards, a Democrat, faces Republican opponent Eddie Rispone. In the race for Secretary of State, incumbent Republican Kyle Ardoin faces challenger Gwen Collins-Greenup, a Democrat.

The Louisiana Forestry Association's political action council, the Forestry Political Action Council or ForPAC, has endorsed several candidates in legislative races:

Senate District 16 — Senate candidate Franklin Foil

Senate District 35 — Senator Jim Fannin

Senate District 36 — Senate candidate Robert Mills

House District 20 — Representative Neil Riser

House District 30 — Representative candidate A.C. "Chuck" Dowden

House District 37 — Representative candidate Troy Romero

House District 62 — Representative candidate John Arceneaux

House District 72 — Representative Candidate Buddy Mincey

Early voting will run from Saturday, Nov. 2 through Saturday, Nov. 9. Election Day is set for Saturday, Nov. 16.
