Timber Tax Workshop set for Dec. 15
The LSU AgCenter will hold a Timber Tax Workshop from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15 in Baton Rouge. The workshop is open to the public, but is limited to the first 75 spots. Attendees must RSVP to Dr. Shaun Tanger at stanger@agcenter.lsu.edu no later than Friday, Dec. 7. It will be held at 214 Efferson Hall on the LSU campus. The Timber Tax Workshop will feature Tamara Cushing, timber tax specialist from Oregon State University. She will cover relevant changes to forest landowners in the new federal tax code and other important topics. Anyone needing special accommodations due to disabilities should contact Dr. Tanger at the same email address by the Dec. 7 deadline.
