Frequently Asked Question about Cypress

That sounds hard. Is it hard?

I'm not in the business of making things easy or bringing fools onto my crew, so Stash House is built to challenge. But word on the street is there is someone on the inside who can help you when the going gets rough. -Ray

Is Stash House like scary?

Nah. Nothing's going to be jumping out at you. -Ray

This sounds perfect for kids! Is there an age limit?

Youngins under 18 needs permission from a parent or legal guardian and groups of youngins need an adult present at all times to keep 'em in line. But before you go planning that birthday party for little Suzie, you may want to think about content... -Ray

What's the content like? Is this going to corrupt my children morally?!

If Stash House were a movie, it'd be rated PG-13 for language, adult themes, implied violence, and drug references. If you let your children play Grand Theft Auto or watch Game of Thrones, then Stash House is the least of your worries. -Ray

OMG are we going to be physically locked in or restrained!?

Nah. You're free to go at any time, but you may not want to... there could be consequences. -Ray

I've got places to be! How long does Stash House take?

You get ninety minutes to explore Stash House, but with all the bells n'whistles that happen before and after, the whole experience should take less than two hours. -Ray

I'm so sorry we're running five minutes late. We're turning onto the street now, I swear!

In a bustlin' metropolis like LA, I get it distractions come up, so I have a ten minute buffer for late comers. Arrive after that, and the game may start without you or your timeslot may be forfeited without a refund. -Ray

How many people can do it at once? I want to bring all my besties! Especially my BFF Jill!

Stash House is best experienced as a group of 6-8, but I get that crews come in all sizes, so you can play with as few as 4 or as many as 11. Anything outside of that isn't recommended, but if you insist, give me a shout and I'll see what I can do. -Ray

I have no friends... Can I play with people I don't know?

Stash House offers private bookings, meaning only your crew will be playing. If you have trouble finding people, we can suggest a few popular haunts to find partners at. -Ray

I made new friends but I already booked! Can I add more people?!

Natch. Since each booking is private, you're welcome to expand your crew. The bigger, the better we always say. Just hit me up at and we'll take care of you. - Ray

Do you ever offer discounts?

Occasionally, but only for our most loyal crew. Sign up for our VIP list at the bottom of the page to get the scoop. -Ray

So what's the sitch on parking?

Ktown is a busy metropolitan area where parking can be whack. Ride sharing apps like Uber or Lyft and the Metro (SH is just a few blocks north of purple line Western/Wilshire station) are highly recommended. If you're in a car, there's a mix of neighborhood parking, one-hour meters, and various time-restricted spots, but it's awfully competitive at times, so good luck. -Ray

Uh oh! Something came up. What's your cancellation policy?

Don't you sweat it, boo. With a 24-hour notice, I'll hook you up with another time to visit Stash House. Anything less than that and you might be SOL. -Ray

Will you ever have promotions on deal sites like Groupon or Goldstar?

Never heard of 'em. I prefer to do my wheeling and dealing with my VIP client list, so subscribe for updates before you miss out. -Ray

Looking to do team building, but we're not allowed back at that karaoke bar after the incident...

Fellow entrepreneurs are welcome! Stash House is designed specifically for people to work cooperatively, so it's a perfect tool for co-workers and corporate team building. Maybe I'll even take bets on who will win... HR or accounting? -Ray

What's this Street Baptism/Give Up The Ghost thing I keep hearing about?

Street Baptism was an immersive and interactive three-chapter experience that allowed guests to experience the three most important days of my life. Give Up The Ghost was an immersive challenge where guests had to do me a solid and convince an elusive figure to work with yours truly. You can read more about them here and here. When we do weird shit like this again, we'll let subscribers on VIP list in on it before anyone else. -Ray

No, really. Do you offer discounts?

You're persistent, that's for sure. For taking the time to get the bottom of this FAQ, here's a TIP. -Ray

Now what's the sitch with Covid-19?

You gotta be vaccinated, fam. I'm not about those fines and we're tryin' to keep people safe, so we'll be checking vax cards for people over the age of 18. You're also required to cover your face. I don't know where you've been and you definitely don't know where we've been. I got plenty of hand sanitizer and maybe a few gloves for you. I keep my place clean between crews by disinfecting everything. Plus everything is private; it'll just be your crew. My crew is fully vaxxed and runs solo, plus they'll always cover their face. Any other questions just hit me up. -Ray

So is Stash House one of those escape room things I keep hearing about?

Fo sho. It's basically a real-life video game where you solve puzzles and challenges in a space with your team of friends or co-workers before the time runs out. -Ray

But I'm afraid of getting the vaccine! Can I still come?

Yes. Just bring a negative Covid test taken within 72-hours of arrival. -Ray
