Technology has aided forestry for years, especially when performing prescribed burning to keep fuels on forest floors from building up to dangerous levels. New log truck drivers need CDL training
Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) changed its rules Feb. 7, 2022, and now require that new truck drivers take additional training before obtaining their Commercial Drivers License (CDL). According to the FMCSA information online, drivers seeking a Class A or Class B CDL, passenger endorsement or a school bus endorsement must complete entry-level driver training, which includes theory and behind-the-wheel instruction.
