NRCS looking for good folks

The Natural Resources Conservation Service has completed a new video to recruit workers to the federal agency within the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

"We have worked hard to put together a video that explains who we are as an agency and why students should choose USDA/NRCS for a rewarding career," said Chad Kacir, Louisiana state conservationist for NRCS.

Twelve student internships are available for summer 2021, the agency said. Students can find information about the Pathways program on the web at USAJobs.gov. "Pathways is a paid summer internship that gives college students the opportunity to work side-by-side with NRCS professionals and gain real-life work experience.

"The Pathways program is an excellent way for students to begin their career journey with us," Kacir said. "I encourage any student interested to apply. There is a short application time period, so don't wait; apply today."
