CENLA Forestry Forum set March 28
The CENLA Forestry Forum is set for 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at the LSU AgCenter State Evacuation Shelter near LSUA on U.S. Highway 71. A lineup of outstanding speakers and interesting topics are slated for the event.
Presentations by representatives of new sawmills in Taylor and DeRidder will be given, as well as topics covered concerning the emerald ash borer and bats. Other topics include news from the Louisiana Department of Agriculture & Forestry, timber prices in Louisiana and issues facing forestry in Louisiana.
The cost is $25 per person. Checks can be made to LSU AgCenter (please write CENLA Forestry Forum in the memo line) and can be mailed to LSU AgCenter, 300 Grady Britt Dr, Alexandria, LA 71302. Checks should be received no later than Friday, March 24. Registration at the door will be $40 per person.
