Management for deer workshops set

Trailblazer is presenting two free workshops on Wildlife Habitat Management: Deer Habitat, March 4 and 5 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and although free, you must register for the event.


The free workshops are the same but will be held at two different locations. The first workshop on March 4 will be held at the Claiborne Parish Library, 909 Edgewood Drive, Homer, Louisiana.


The second free workshop will be held March 5 at the Lincoln Parish Library, 910 N. Trenton St., Ruston, Louisiana.


The workshops are free; however, you must register by calling or texting to 318-237-8350 and providing your name, contact information, name of workshop and where the workshop is scheduled.


Food and snacks will be served beginning at 5:15 p.m., with a welcome given at 6 p.m. by Glenn Benton and Bob Brotherton or TB BOD MEMBERS. Guest speaker Dr. Rick Williams of USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service will begin at 6:10 p.m. There also will be a talk, Management of Deer, given by wildlife biologist and author David Moreland.
